We enhanced the functionality of the house by relocating the existing minimal kitchen into the dining space, allowing us to reinvent the area and create a stunning bathroom that exudes the warmth of the house and reflects the era of its construction.

The clients expressed a desire to introduce patterns and shapes that reflected their personal style, giving us creative freedom to play with design elements.

This resulted in the incorporation of curved features in the vanity, which softened the rigidity of the solid walls.

The clients were particularly excited to see the outcome of the stunning layout of the Artisan Poco tiles, which added a unique touch to the space.

The pantry nook of the existing kitchen provided an ideal setup for creating a large yet cozy shower area.

By utilising the window space, we were able to design a feature island bath that maximised natural light, creating a tranquil atmosphere with soft, warm colors—a perfect spot for relaxation, perhaps with a glass of wine in hand.

Underfloor heating was installed to ensure comfort during Melbourne winters.

Despite the constraints posed by solid brick walls, the transition from an old, restricted kitchen to a fabulous showstopper bathroom exceeded the client’s expectations.

The complete transformation showcased a mix of traditional and modern design elements, with terrazzo tiles complementing playful pink pattern tiles.

Soft curves were integrated into the vanity and mirrored cabinet, providing ample storage while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.

The result was a statement bathroom featuring a large shower and an island bath, blending old and new elements while respecting the age and era of the house.
