Ivanhoe Home – Bathroom

The owners of this beautiful, light-filled Ivanhoe home wanted to create a more functional layout for their main bathroom, that was to be primarily used by their children. It was important to our clients that the design highlighted the beautiful high ceilings in the space.

The original space had significant water damage to the existing shower, as well as showcasing bulky and outdated accessories. With an abundance of floor space for our our design team to play with, their main challenge was to make the best use of space while still ensuring it was functional for the children of the home now and into the future. It was imperative that the design worked with the high ceiling as the room had the potential to feel over whelming if not considered.

The clients wanted to include a tile that looked like ink, which resulted in the selection of a stunning navy blue tiles. The renovation ended up being scheduled around the delivery of the unique tiles.  The intricate detail of the diamond laid feature tiles that run seamlessly into the 600mmx600mm wall/floor tiles was a creative inclusion from our designer who collaborated closely with our tile team to bring the detail to life. The navy tiles for the perfect back drop to the curvaceous freestanding bath.

In addition to this, the other undeniable feature of the room is the exaggerated arch mirrors that extend above the picture rail, to accentuate the height of the ceiling and reflect the pendant in the centre of the room. The bathroom also features a beautiful custom-made navy blue vanity to match the tiles with an abundance of storage for the client’s children.

Due to the abundance of space the bathrooms allows for more than one standout feature resulting in a truly beautiful result, one that our clients couldn’t be happier with.
